It has been an awfully long time since I submitted anything, but the competition seemed far too fun to pass up!
My attempt at the RIFT Colossus competition.
The idea behind this design is that the creature sucks life from other beings. In its default state it is rather plain in colour, but as it gains life it blossoms an array of foliage and fauna.
It travels across the landscape in a boat like form, swamping and crushing villages in a wake of petals and leaves.
Life is absorbed from all it destroys, particularily also from the siren inspired head-roots.
In its dormant state this creature would appear as a weathered tree trunk. When approached the bark around the trunk would unravel and swell to form the creature as elaborated.
